Applewood Arabians

In 2005 we purchased a 1/2 Arabian, 1/2 Paso mare named Fiji, from AJ Oaks Farm in Central Point, OR.  We had no idea that special little mare would have such an impact on our lives and introduce us to the world of Arabians.

Applewood Arabians began when we acquired an Arabian mare, Aurrissa, with excellent bloodlines.  Our hopes are to establish a small horse ranch with Aurrissa as our foundation mare.  In the mean time, she will be shown on a limited basis in Western Pleasure classes by Cindy under the guidance and training of Todd Azevedo at Equus Farms in Aromas, CA.

Matt has done a beautiful job of building stalls and paddocks on our ranch.  One stall is large enough for a foaling stall.  The paddocks are designed to keep horses separated or opened up for one large paddock.  Automatic waters have also been installed.  There is a covered breezeway, and plenty of storage for hay, grain, and tack.  We plan to have an arena in the future.

Both Fiji and Aurrissa were trained by Todd Azevedo.  His training methods are designed to keep the horses happy and the riders safe.  He specializes in Arabians, works with all breeds, English and Western, and is an excellent trainer for all levels, including showing.
